Dawn Le

Dawn Le is a seasoned campaigner with 16 years of experience managing large-scale political, legislative, communications, community organizing, and union campaigns in 34 states and 12 countries. She has spent her career organizing, training, and empowering women, immigrants, and low wage workers to lift up their voices and fight for progressive change to win a better life for themselves and their families.

As Chief Strategy Officer at, Dawn is leveraging her extensive experience with project management and issue advocacy to advise national and state groups on campaign planning, voter turnout, coalition building, press relations, fundraising, research, leadership development, while also investing in long-term organizational infrastructure, online/offline member engagement, and branding. Since the Trump administration, Dawn works closely with immigrant youth leaders and Latino and Asian American organizations to fend off the administration’s assault on immigrants and refugees. At the local level, Dawn’s area of focus is winning statewide ballot measures for independent redistricting commissions and Medicaid expansion and down-ballot federal and state candidates’ races.

During the 2016 elections, Dawn was with American Bridge 21st Century, the Left’s research and rapid response arm, where she ran the war room. Before that, she was the Deputy Campaign Director for the national immigrant rights coalition, Alliance for Citizenship, where she was responsible for driving the national communications strategy, integrating voices from the business and tech world with local activists from urban and rural communities in support of comprehensive immigration reform. Earlier on, Dawn led the communications and media outreach for the worker-led “Black Friday strikes” at Walmart stores across the country with the United Food & Commercial Workers Union where workers won a starting pay of $12/hour, family healthcare options, and maternity and paid sick leave. For a dozen years prior, she worked at the Service Employees International Union, American Federation of Teachers, the National Democratic Institute in the former Soviet Union, oversaw the outdoor advertising for the Beijing 2008 Olympics, and co-produced an Emmy Award-winning documentary “Haiti in Ruins,” which told the personal stories of survivors of the 2010 Haiti earthquake.

Although her heart always yearns for home in the West Coast, Dawn lives in Washington, DC with her husband, Adam, and their fleet of bicycles.
